In 1872, at the age of 25, William decided to emigrate to Canada, and,along with Aaron Stephens and family (brother-in-law of William’s futurewife Thirza Yeo), he booked a passage (ticket #991) from Liverpool toHalifax on the SS Nestorian, a 2466 ton vessel owned by the Allan Line,also known as the Montreal Ocean Steamship Company. The SS Nestorian wascapable of holding 115 first class and 600 third class passengers

William settled in London, Ontario, first boarding with Thomas Walker ( atrackman) and family, in 1874-75. William listed his occupation then as“shoemaker.” Receipts that survive include “The Howe Sewing MachineAgency”…$40.00 for a Howe sewing machine (1873), and E.W. Hyman, atannery in London , for leather supplies (1877).

George worked as a Millstone grinder and in a munitions factory.
They lived at Marwood and Guineaford.

In 1891 they were living at Guineauford, with children Edith, George
and Albert. Elizabeth was born at Landkey.
Information from Brian Barrow
George lived at Little Raleigh, Pilton and worked for Garnish and Winkles,
jewellers for twenty years. After this they moved to Wimborne Terrace.
He died when he was 54 years old and there is a memorial for him andElizabeth
in Pilton Chruch Yard.
George Yeo who died Jan 14th 1917 age 54 years, his end was peace
Also of Elizabeth Yeo his wife who died Jan 5 1924 age 59 years
