Solo scramble.

I have found that I'm not terribly picky about the scrambles I do and historically I have enjoyed almost every single one. I have to say, however, that I did not enjoy Mount Buller as much as I have other trips. The summit view was great, but getting to the summit was uninspirational and tedious. Perhaps it didn't help that my feet were feeling the strains of having done 4 scrambles in the past 5 days, or that I took the wrong route to the col and had to take a considerable detour to get back on track. The slab scrambling I was looking forward to near the summit never happened - just tons of scree on slabs - the worst possible combination!

Thankfully, a wonderful view salvaged this miserable scramble. There are too many mountains to mention but, Assinibione and nearby, pointy Mount Eon, Sparrowhawk, Bogart, and the two peaks of Mount Kidd really caught my eye. I'll probably try this trip again in a couple of year's - maybe, like good wine, it'll get better with age!
