Scrambling with Colleen.

We were lucky enough to get perfect weather for this short, fun, and breath-taking scramble. The ascent was easy, combining some steeper terrain with pleasant hiking along the almost level meadows of scenic Wilcox Pass. The actual scrambling was fun, and there was plenty of room for exploration. We avoided a couple of the more exposed sections by dropping down below the ridge. As promised the summit view was phenomenal. I must have burned a roll of film on Mount Athabasca alone! Other highlights included the Athabasca Glacier with Mount Andromeda towering above, Nigel Peak, Tangle Ridge and Sunwapta to the north, and Snow Dome, Mount Kitchener, Mount Woolley and Diadem Peak to the west.
