SWRAP 2004 Expo Photos
Finally. I finally have the time to put my SWRAP 2004 pics up on the web. And here they are:
01:

MY FAMILY SPOTTED THIS AS WE WERE HEADING INTO THE HOTEL. SOMEONE'S NOT AFRAID TO SHOW THEIR COMMODORE PRIDE!
02:

WHILE I WAS HEADING FROM THE EXPO BACK TO THE ROOM (TO GET SOME EQUIPMENT FROMT THE ROOM), I SAW THIS GUY'S TATTOO. HAD TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS DEVOUT COMMODORE USER!
03:

THIS IS A PHOTO OF JIM BRAIN'S SETUP. IN THE CENTER IS THE C=KEY INTERFACE JIM BRAIN IS BUILDING. THIS ITEM IS SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO GET WHEN IT COMES OUT.
04:

SOME PIECE OF HARDWARE THAT JIM BRAIN HAD ON HIS TABLE. (I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT DOES...)
05:

SLIGHTLY BLURRY PHOTO OF JIM BRAIN'S C=KEY INTERFACE. (I HAVE TO WORK ON MY PHOTO WORK...)
06:

THIS WAS A DEVICE ON JERI'S TABLE. I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THE NAME OF IT WAS...
07:

A PHOTO OF THE COMMODORE ONE RECONFIGURABLE COMPUTER.
08:

A CLOSE UP OF THE FRONT LEFT CORNER OF THE C-1, SHOWING WHAT I THINK IS A SILVERSURFER. (NOT 100% SURE IF THAT'S WHAT IT IS)
09:

PHOTO OF THE KIM-1 COMPUTER THAT WAS ON DISPLAY. INTERESTING PIECE OF HARDWARE. SOMEWHAT LARGE, BUT SINCE IT USES THE 65XX FAMILY OF PROCESSORS LIKE THE COMMODORE, I GUESS IT WOULD BE VERY VERSITILE.
10:

NICE C-1 SETUP... DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHO IT BELONGS TO OFFHAND...
11:

THIS IS PART OF SCOTT'S IDEA TO CREATE A CD-BURNER THAT IS CONTROLLED BY A COMMODORE COMPUTER. THE IDEA HE HAD WAS TO HOOK UP A SCSI CD-ROM DRIVE AND HARDDRIVE, AND THEN VIA SOFTWARE, TELL THEM TO DIRECTLY TRANSFER THE DATA AMONGST THEMSELVES SO THAT THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR THE COMPUTER TO HAVE TO TRANSFER ANY DATA, SINCE THE COMMODORE WOULD BE TOO SLOW ANYWAYS, WITH THE SERIAL BUS BEING TOO SLOW.
12:

THIS IS A SHOT OF THE CINCINNATI COMMODORE COMPUTER CLUB (C.C.C.C)'S VENDOR TABLE. I BOUGHT FROM THERE A COPY OF GEOS 128 ($15.00), 2 DISK BOXES ($0.30 EA), AND A PAIR OF MODIFIED SERIAL CABLES ($6.00). THE CABLES HAD AN EXTRA WIRE FOR POWERING A PRINTER INTERFACE. THIS WOULD HAVE RAN ME $21.60, BUT SINCE MY ORDER WAS MORE THAN OR EQUAL TO 4 ITEMS, IT WAS HALF PRICE, ($10.80). I ALSO GOT A JOYSTICK SINCE MY ORDER WAS ABOVE 10$. I'LL DEFINATELY SHOP THERE AGAIN!
13:

ANOTHER VENDOR, THIS ONE FOCUSED MAINLY ON AMIGA HARDWARE I BELIEVE. I GOT A LINKSYS SWITCH, A SERIAL EXTENSION CABLE (DB-9), A DB-9 GENDER CHANGER, AND A MINI JOYSTICK. THIS RAN ME ABOUT 20 SOME DOLLARS. I GOTTA GET MYSELF AN AMIGA...
14:

FAR SHOT OF THE PET COMPUTER FOR SALE BY THE C.C.C.C GROUP.
15:

THE OBLIGATORY 'HELLO WORLD'
16:

A FURTHER AWAY SHOT OF THE PET. I REALLY NEED TO WATCH THE GLARE...
17:

THIS TABLE CONTAINED THE GEM OF MY FINDS (I FELT SO AT LEAST). A COPY OF THE COMMODORE 64 PROGRAMMER'S REFERENCE MANUAL. THIS WILL DEFINATELY HELP ME TO PROGRAM BETTER IN MACHINE LANGUAGE.
18:

THIS IS THE 'BEST' (IF YOU CAN CALL A PHOTO WITH A GLARE GOOD) SHOT OF THE PET. IT WAS GOING FOR $100 AT THE TIME OF THE PHOTO.
19:

CLOSER SHOT OF THE PET'S SCREEN.
20:

PHOTO OF THE CASELESS C-1 COMPUTER... IT STILL HAS A VIDEO OUTPUT PROBLEM.
21:

MAJOR GLARE ON THE SCREEN, BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE THAT THE TEXT ON THE LEFT LOOKS NORMAL, BUT THE RIGHT SIDE IS FUZZY. THIS ISN'T A ARTIFACT OF THE FOCUSING... IT'S ACTUALLY WHEN THE C-1 DISPLAYS THE VIDEO, IT DOES IT AT 2 FREQUENCIES, AND THE MONITOR IS SUPERIMPOSING THEM ON TOP OF EACH OTHER, EVERY OTHER LINE, CAUSING THE TEXT TO FUZZ OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
22:

THE TEXT ON THE LCD DESCRIBES WHAT THIS IS.
23:

NEAT BUILDING... LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES I BELIEVE...
24:

ANOTHER SHOT OF THE LUCENT BUILDING.

Update: Mirror of LUCKI 2004 Pre Expo Pictures
When I went to check out my link to the Lucki 2004 photos, located here, I found that there were new photos added and the old ones removed... So I felt that I should update my zip file and re-post the changed zip file. If you wish to mirror the files here, just contact me at the address in the 'contact' section of my site.

SHOT OF MY COMMODORE COMPUTER WITH MY MONITOR (1084)

SOUTHWEST CORNER OF MY ROOM - I HAVE MY TRANSFER STATION CONNECTED TO MY PC VIA A NETWORK CABLE

ANOTHER EAST END ROOM SHOT... AND YES THAT'S KNEX ROUTING CABLES ABOVE THE COMMODORE...

ANOTHER VIEW OF MY PC COMPUTER AREA, WITH THE PREREQUISITE JUNK PILE...
I realized that with the previous setup I had, I was having to bend down and crane my neck to view the monitor, plus I couldn't get 64hdd to work without moving the commodore... Go figure...

So I decided to move the computer and monitor up 2 shelves and to switch the positions of monitor and computer, so the cable would reach.

Here's some bonus photos of my room, and how disorderly it usually is...

EAST END OF MY ROOM... YES I KNOW IT'S A MESS...

NORTHWEST CORNER OF MY ROOM... MOST OF THIS MESS IN THE EAST END OF THE ROOM WAS A RESULT OF RE-DOING MY COMMODORE SETUP

Updated commodore photos
Well I got new equipment, as you can see in the first shot... My first C64! (at least my first working one, and yes that's my foot in the third photo...)

After the computer glitch with the vectra, I was glad I had my data backed up on another drive. Next time i'll be more prepared.

I don't know what, but I think my 1084 monitor is on the fritz... I look down, and see a change in brightness out of the corner of my eyes. I think the monitor may be going bad, but I hope it isn't serious.

I happened to download all the photos from th original site located at http://c128.port5.com/Expo2004, before it got homesteaded.

I am mirroring the photos here. There is another mirror to the pictures hosted by another commodore person going by the name 'theA1ien'.

My Setup
Yes, yes, I know that it doesn't look like much, but everyone started somewheres...

The thing under the disks is a scsi harddrive. I currently have to switch physically from the cd to the harddrive. In the future I will hope to hook them up at the same time.

The computer is a hp vectra PC with 16mb of memory, and it's hooked up to the 1541 drive via a simple x1541 cable.
