I'm Orson.  At least that's what the road dogs call me.  I answer to a few other names as well  depending on who's asking.  I grew up in LA,  in the shadow of the San Gabriel mountains.  I've spent a lot of time in those hills walking and hiking and mountain biking.   And just about every girl I've  ever dated  ended up there sometime or other.  No, they're not still  there. They're in the  basement.   ;  )

A lot of the people I've met on the road think that LA is all urban and bullet ridden.  But  the news makes the  place sound harder and more sinister than it is. The  fact is, most places are as varied as the people that live in them.  I have been lucky enough to  live and have grown up in a part of LA where the  people are  comfortable and  insulated.  Most of the time, me and the boys  have  had  go to out and find trouble.

The communities where we grew up, in North San Gabriel, San Marino, Arcadia, and Sierra Madre were about has crime ridden as Mayberry West Virginia. But for going out and looking for dodgy entertainment,  we would otherwise never run into the types  experiences we've had.  I've been tossed out of bars, saw one of the crew  get tossed out of a picture window, crashed a porno party,  rode a scooter down a hotel lobby, and even  saw rock stars go  home with their tails between their legs.  And that's not even the dodgy stuff -- Well, maybe the rock star thing. Though  some of the things we did  were plenty crazy,  I'm still glad for them.  It's not like we were  problem kids however.  In fact , almost all of these guys are now making their way  in life as doctors and lawyers and business owners.  The ones who took it too seriously are either long dead or in jail.

Looking back on it,  I think  we were just naturally  drawn to the dark side, like vampires.  Come to think of it, I've even partied with a girl named Elvira.  But being  at most, bad boys from good neighborhoods, we never put a hurt on anyone that didn't deserve it, or one that  wouldn't heal.  The only laws we broke, for the most part, were vice laws.  These pages were inspired by  those guys and those experiences and the friends and people I've met along the way.   Thanks for stopping by.

 Enjoy -- O.
