Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Stock Engines

Ever since I was a wee little lad I have wanted to drive a engine swapped car, even at this young age i realized that stock engines was the force bringing down our society, that or Rosie O’Donnell one of the two. On a more serious note, I love swaps and all my crazy project ideas so I thought I would make a list. Here goes

Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am

The crappy stock firebird

the kick ass Trans Am

What a beautiful car, however newer Trans Ams like that one are to expensive and to stock engine for me. Your trans am is your standard late American muscle car over 300 hp (underrated from the factory to keep the vette selling high) rear wheel drive, solid rear axle (btw ricers solid rear axel is better for drag racing then that silly flimsy rear) and weighs a crap load. My plan would be to buy a 1998 v6 firebird, age depends on budget, and swap in a lq9 (escalade engine). Then put the Trans am bumper on it, get the ram air package and probably the ws6 suspension set up. I would get a six speed and a good power to weight ratio and a car that can keep its ass planted

Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra

The good looking 99

the kick ass SS style truck

Aw hell yah pickup trucks the greatest thing ever. Nothing says American like a nice full size pick up truck and god do I love them. I like a nice small cab and long bed. I would get a 99-04 Chevy Silverado, or a 99-01 GMC sierra. For the sierra I would do a Denali front end and the Chevy the newer front end. Either would be 4wd and a regular cab. Regular bed or long bed. This would be my truck one be lowered and for racing, the other would be jacked up for off roading. I LOVE MY TRUCKS.

Ford Bronco

The nice stock bronco

some lift and tires imagine it with top off

Broncos are tight, you can take the back off and have sort of convertible. And I need something to haul people and play in the mud with. The swap would be a 460 because bigger is always better. The adaptor kit from L&L Products is 2000 bucks, and for this im using a pretty crazy crate engine I would probably use a tamer torquey engine which would be cheaper. It is because it’s really not supposed to be that fast, just tear rocks and mud up. hahaha (yes I am well aware the gas mileage would blow more then a wind machine)

Subaru Imprezza

The crappy stock imprezza

the cooler 2.5 rs coupe (a lil ricey)

Ah yes Subaru, the brand no one can shut up about now, but everyone made fun of 4 years ago. The only issues with these new cars are there all sedans, and since I don’t have kids and I am not 40 I don’t want a sedan. I always say lightness is number 1. So how could i get a coupe with the WRX/STI power. Easy, jus engine swap. The pervious generation of imprezza in addition to looking a lot better and being lighter easily fits a turbo EJ motor. I would do either a 1995 imprezza coupe 4wd because its so light. or a newer RS cause of the suspension and looks but for money old we go. This combo gives me good turbo power, and awd (which means sissy 4wd).

Dodge Colt

The crappy stock colt

the better gt

If there is one thing I love its okay well AMERICA!!! But if were talking about cars its hatchbacks. And here is Mitsubishi’s hatch, yea I know I said its a dodge but its just a rebadge. Since it is a Mitsubishi it takes a 4g63t nice and easy. Got love power to weight ratio. I would try to get the GT, easy swap don’t even need a tranny. Talk about sleeper no one would see it coming, however I really don’t like the unreliability of the DSM and the stooped finickyness of turbos.

318 ti

The crappy stock 318ti

the cooler 332 or 330 ti

Everyone likes a nice luxury car, especially if your a little pussy who cant get chicks unless your car has luxury features like A/C and pussy stuff like that. However with luxury comes weight, but what saves us from stoopid fat ass cars u guessed it HATCHBACKS. Enter the 318 ti, ti is the light weight hatch of the e36 line. The 3.0 older m3 swap would be much easier, but the 3.2 would be much more power. This is my luxury swap and my German swap.

Bastard Swaps

Bastard swaps, a swap with a engine from a another manufacturer. Like a Mustang with a corvette ls1, or a Honda with a Nissan sr20det (no idea if those are possible). Some people (especially bead clickin paddies) think these swaps are wrong and sick, but I think they are tight, and as you probably know I think I’m always right

Suzuki Samurai

The crappy stock Samurai

the cooler lifted n stuff Sammy

I love Sammy’s, you probably think there mad guy but in case u haven’t noticed by now i care about your opinion about as much as I care about U.N. They are simply amazing off-roaders. This would definitely be my rock crawler and hard off roader. And come on a 2000lb 4wd car its a dream come true. And as for the swap it would be either a normal Chevy 4.3 Vortec v6, or the turbo 4.3 out of a typhoon. With the turbo this thing would be untouchable fast and total sleeper. Also remember the 4.3 is really torque good for crawling. Very hard to find the turbo but it swaps right in, with the kit form Suzuki conversions. Did I say its a drop top too, and you know how much I like drop tops.
